Now you have come to the page, Choose variable. This page give you the oportunity to select which variables and values you want to display in your result of the table. A variable is a property of a statistical unit. The page is divided into several boxes, one for each variable, where you can select values by click to highlight one or more values. It always starts with the statistics variable which is the main value counted in the table.

Denne tabellen viser antall privathusholdninger fordelt etter antall personer i husholdningen.
Til samme husholdning regnes personer som er bosatt i samme privatbolig. Populasjonen i husholdningsstatistikken avviker noe befolkningsstatistikken. Hovedforskjellen er at studenter som er registrert bosatt hjemme hos foreldrene i en annen kommune enn studiestedet, i størst mulig grad er plassert i studiekommunen i husholdingsstatistikken. Ordet 'husholdningen', er i tabellen forkortet til HH. Statistikken for 2014 og senere, er ikke direkte sammenlignbar med tidligere årganger.#I forbindelse med publisering av tall per 1.1.2014 og 1.1.2015 ble det gjennomført to relativt omfattende endringer i SSBs produksjonsrutiner. For å unngå to brudd i tidsserien er tallene som opprinnelig ble publisert per 1.1.2014 og som bare inneholdt noen av de nye rutinene, byttet ut med tall som inneholder begge de to omleggingene.
