Innvandrere er definert som personer som er født i utlandet av to utenlandsfødte foreldre og fire utenlandsfødte besteforeldre.
Norskfødte med innvandrerforeldre er definert som personer som er født i Norge av to foreldre som er født i utlandet, og som i tillegg har fire besteforeldre som er født i utlandet.
For å ivareta personvernet er statistikken anonymisert i tilfeller hvor det er færre enn 3 observasjoner, dvs. at tabellceller med 1 og 2 observasjoner er endret til enten 0 eller 3.
